The following Privacy Policy describes the information and privacy practices for Empirian and its web sites (the “Empirian Web sites”). By visiting or submitting information at our leasing offices or Web sites, you consent to the information practices described in this policy.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to other unrelated Web sites that may be accessible through Empirian Web sites. Our sites may contain links to other sites operated by third parties. Please note that Empirian does not control and will not be responsible for the privacy policies of third party web sites accessible through links. Third party web sites have separate data collection practices, privacy policies and security measures. We have no responsibility or liability for the practices, policies and security measures implemented by third parties on their web sites. WHAT INFORMATION DOES EMPIRIAN COLLECT?
We collect personal information such as your contact information (name, address, phone number or e-mail address). Additionally, our Web server automatically collects click-stream information such as the address (or “URL”) of the Web site that you came from before visiting our site, which pages you visit on our site, which browser you used to view our site, any search terms you have entered on our site, properties viewed and technical data related to your browser and computer settings. Empirian may also use third party providers of customer information to improve the accuracy of our customer database, to increase our understanding of our customers or to identify potential customers.
WHO COLLECTS THE INFORMATION?
Empirian Property Management, Inc. collects the information. We can be contacted at webmaster@epmapartments.com. We may also contract with several online consultants to help manage and optimize our Internet business and communications (each, a “Marketing Consultant”). Although our Marketing Consultant logs the information coming from our site on our behalf, we control how that data may and may not be used.
WHEN AND HOW IS THE INFORMATION COLLECTED?
While accessing services available at Empirian locations or visiting our Web sites, we may ask that you provide certain information about yourself. For example, we may request personal information when you set up an account online, request information or services, participate in a promotion or survey, contact Empirian with a question or concern, apply for employment with Empirian, complete a Guest Card or participate in other activities. In addition, when using our Web sites, our servers may collect click-stream information as described above.
Additional data may be garnered through the use of cookies. A cookie is a very small text file that is sent to a visitor's browser from a web server and stored on the visitor's computer hard drive. It assigns the computer a unique identifier. It is essentially the visitor's identification card when s/he returns to an Empirian Web site. Cookies save visitors time because they help us to provide the visitor a customized experience without having to remind us of his/her preferences each time s/he returns to our web pages. We track the usage of our websites in order to modify it according to our visitors' needs. We pay attention to what information is requested and attempt to make it easier to find such information in the future.

We use the information you provide in order to 1) fulfill requests for information, 2) provide customer service, 3) administer promotions, 4) offer new products and services, 5) measure and improve the effectiveness of our Web sites, our marketing endeavors or our services and offers, 6) administer surveys, 7) send marketing communications or 8) other business purposes.
DOES EMPIRIAN SHARE THE INFORMATION PROVIDED, TO WHOM AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE?
Empirian may share personal information with third parties in limited circumstances. For example, we may release personal information to Service Providers to perform services on our behalf such as fulfilling our customer’s requests, sending Empirian marketing communications from Empirian, conducting research or surveys, sending regular mail and e-mail on behalf of Empirian, or processing credit card payments. Any information you may provide to us either online or offline may be combined or shared between current or future Empirian entities and subsidiaries, and the entities which own the properties Empirian manages, for the purposes outlined above in “How is the information used”.
From time to time, we may be required to provide personal information in response to a valid court order, subpoena, government investigation, or as otherwise required by law. We also reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we, in good faith, believe to be unlawful. We may release certain personal information when we believe that such release may be helpful to protect the rights, property, and safety of others and ourselves. We may also release personal information in the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event to the potential and actual parties involved in such events.
WHAT CHOICES DO I HAVE REGARDING HOW INFORMATION IS USED?
If your information is currently being used to send you marketing communications, you can opt-out of receiving these communications at any time. All marketing e-mail and direct mail communications from Empirian, such as special offers, tell you how to stop receiving them.

If you send a written request by e-mail or regular mail, please be sure to write “Empirian Residential – Privacy,” include your full name, address, phone number and e-mail address and indicate specifically what type of marketing communications you wish to stop receiving. This will ensure we identify you correctly in our systems and accurately process your opt-out request.
Please note that due to production and mailing timelines, it may take up to 10 business days for e-mails and up to six weeks for direct mail to make the requested change. Until that change takes effect, you may still receive marketing communications from us.
Also, please note that you may still receive business-related communications (such as communications from an apartment management employee if you are a resident) or other administrative communications.
If visitors do not want the benefits of our cookies they can set their browser to reject the cookies. Visitors should consult the instructions for their particular browser on how to do this. However, visitors should understand that rejecting cookies might affect their ability to perform certain transactions on our websites and our ability to recognize their browser from one visit to the next.
Remember, as described above, this Privacy Policy does not apply to other websites accessed through the Empirian website. You must review the privacy policy for those other websites with respect to all of your concerns regarding those other websites. We do not have control or responsibility for the content or implementation of the privacy policies of such other websites.
DOES EMPIRIAN SECURE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Although we cannot guarantee against any loss, misuse, unauthorized disclosure, alteration or destruction of data, we take reasonable precautions to prevent such unfortunate occurrences. However, Empirian cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us by e-mail and you do so at your own risk.
HOW CAN I UPDATE OR CHANGE MY INFORMATION, Find out what information is being held or relay a suspected privacy breach?
Empirian wants your information and preferences to be accurate and complete. To update or change your information send an e-mail with your current contact information to webmaster@epmcorporate.com specifying what updates you would like to make or send a request by mail to: Empirian Property Management, Inc., 6954 Americana Parkway, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068, Attn: Webmaster specifying what updates you would like to make.

After receiving your inquiry, we will respond within five business days.
